Not quite as constant as the region around Lisbon, Alentejo still offers very good surfing conditions for every level. Advanced surfers and pros should come here especially from September to May when the autumn and winter swells arrive on the Portuguese coast. The surf spots on the Alentejo coast have a wide swell window and almost always deliver surfable waves. In addition, the climate is much warmer than in the north of Portugal.
